Carroglen

Highland Perthshire's Secret Corporate Hideaway

Hidden in its own private glen, Carroglen is a haven of peace and tranquillity. Carroglen is a small estate with a traditional hill farm of 1500 acres, rising to 3000 feet on the south side of Ben Chonzie. The farm is run sympathetically with nature and is a member of LEAF - Linking Farming and Environment. Our Scottish Blackface Heather Lamb is sold by mail order and our free range eggs are available in the local Comrie shops. In 1990 a project using wild boar to rout out bracken led to the formation of our hog-roasting enterprise - Highland Spit Roasts. Carroglen is accessible from Edinburgh or Glasgow Airports in less than 90 minutes by vehicle or 25 minutes by helicopter.

Carroglen in conjunction with Off Road at Gleneagles, offers visitors scenic safaris to view the splendour of the heather hills, red deer, blue mountain hares, eagles, red grouse, blackcock and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Together with the RSPB, the Estate has a policy of making an annual ornithological audit. The beauty of Carroglen attracts film makers from around the world and both feature films and commercials have been made on the estate. Part of the farm stone steading has been renovated to a high standard to provide facilities for corporate events, private candlelit dinners and self-catering breaks.
